The Special Commission on Medical Malpractice Liability Insurance was formed by the Senate President in April 2004. The Commission addressed issues concerning the rising costs and decreasing availability of medical malpractice insurance, while ensuring that the rights of victims are protected and Marylanders continue to have access to safe and affordable healthcare.
The Commission submitted its final report to the Senate President on December 17, 2004.
