County Executive, Baltimore County, 1966-74. Member, Planning Board, 1966-74, Recreation and Park Board, 1966-74, and Social Services Board, Baltimore County, 1966-74. Member, Regional Planning Council, 1966-74; Governor's Commission on Law Enforcement and the Administration of Justice, 1967-71.

Member, County Council, Baltimore County, 1958-66.

Member, House of Delegates, representing Baltimore County (District 8), 1983-87. Member, Constitutional and Administrative Law Committee, 1983-87; Maryland Commission on Intergovernmental Cooperation, 1983-85; Joint Committee on Federal Relations, 1985-87.

Born in Metropolis, Illinois, November 9, 1916. Attended Metropolis City High School. Moved to Baltimore in 1937. Served in U.S. Air Force (captain), 1942-46. Mount Vernon Law School, LL.B., J.D., 1963. Real estate broker, home builder. President, Maryland Association of Counties, 1970. Member, Democratic National Committee, 1970-74. Member, Overlea Post 130, American Legion. Married, two children, two grandchildren, on great-granddaughter. Died at Kent Island, Maryland, July 27, 1996.


On March 20, 1974, Mr. Anderson was convicted in U.S. District Court of thirty-two charges of corruption and income-tax evasion. He was sentenced in April 1974 to five years in prison, of which he served thirteen months, two weeks, at Allenwood Federal Prison Camp, Allenwood, Pennsylvania.
